Chicago-based Artist Deborah Adams Doering Uses 'Code' to Create Colossal Earthwork Sculpture for ArtPrize Exhibition Awarding the Largest Art Prize in the World  
Rising Chicago-based Artist, Deborah Adams Doering Uses her “Code” to Create a Colossal Earthwork Sculpture for the Upcoming ArtPrize Exhibition to be held in Grand Rapids, Michigan September 23 through October 10, 2009. Doering's Earthwork will be created in two phases using a “core language of form” that links nature and technology. Doering's Earthwork will be one of the most prominent works in the exhibition, selected from among thousands of entries to be placed at Ab-Nab-Awen Park, which adjoins the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum in Grand Rapids where former President Ford now rests. The ArtPrize Exhibition will feature over 1200 artists who will compete to win the largest art prize in the world - $250,000 - to be decided by the public, visitors to the exhibition who will cast votes by text messaging and online review and conversation. - 2009-09-14
